Question:For a dance concert, i need to dance in tube socks as part of one of my costumes. However, it's almost impossible for me to dance in it! The socks are slippery and it's really hard to do turns in them. I feel like I'm going to slip while I'm dancing. I HAVE TO wear the socks because they are a part of the costume. Is there anything I can do to the socks to make them have more friction so I can do turns easier? :(

i use to be a hip-hop dance when i was younger.
Try cuting small holes in the bottom, and put teeny pebbles in
them.
Not big enough to ruin your performance, but big enough to keep you from slipping adn not having them fall out
Or cut bigger holes in the bottom, and put sand paper in your sock, over the whole.
good luck.

meow

shake that laffy taffy that laffy taffy girl

u guys look cool in u yh pic

put rubber at the bottom of them make them look like no slip

sew or stick some grips to the sole of them?

i dont know for sure but maybe put like a little bit of hair spray on the bottoms

Find some of those socks with rubber on the soles or add some somehow. I bet you can use some of that t-shirt paint on the soles and it would add traction.

I think you should ask your instructor if you can cut a hole in the bottom of your sock at the ball of your foot. It will make you "stick" to the ground better and turning shouldnt be a problem

I recommend using the odor eaters shoe pads and glueing them under your socks. Trust me it works like a charm.... wink wink..

I know of two solutions.
1. Go buy puffy fabric paint and put squiggles and dots on the soles of the socks.
2. Cut the bottoms out except for a loop that goes over your big toe (kind of like those gloves that have a loop over the thumb).

*A thin rubber soul pasted at feet area of the socks might help for a better friction.
*A pure cotton socks also good for the solution.
*though Iam not a dancer, I have given my suggession.
*I love to dance.

You could try these things....

1. Velcro.
2. Velcro cleats.

You can also try to find special socks with ridges to reduce slippage, but they are hard to get.
