I am 25 and am competing with my studio this year. Just depends on the studio. But no rules against anyone over 18 competing with a studio. :)

who cares if your over 18? if you love to dance go for it. dont let anything hold you back. take the dive and swim in it.

I'm 21 and just started dancing. I just wasn't into it at the "normal" young ages when all the other little girls were. I would have rather been outside playing with the boys and being a tomboy.

I don't know what I'd do without dance now. I adore it and it just took me a little longer to discover that. You just have to find a studio that has older classes and that welcomes you no matter what your age. I've been to some where they make you feel uncomfortable for getting started "so late." But you can find very warm studios that you just never want to leave! :)

no
in my tap co. class, we have a 19 year old competeing with us. she's in college, and her college's tap team is too easy for her. we have 3 13 year olds too. there's lots of diversity in our class ^._.^
