yes, u need to want to do it and stretch every day. the more the person is flexible, the faster he's gonna do the split, but every one can do it!

and if u wanna do it fast then do this:

1. Stretch yourself. Do lunges, butterflys, touch your toes etc. Make sure your legs are stretched and so is your back. Sit with your legs apart on the floor and put your head down. Then try to put it on your left/right leg. This may be difficult.
2. Go into position. This will either be straddle, left or right.
3. Slowly lower yourself down as far as you can go. Don't over do it. This means if you can only go down to be a foot off the ground while feeling a decent stretch, don't go farther.
4. Hold on to it for one to five minutes. Push yourself down farther as you go on. Don't be afraid, just be cautious.
5. Repeat for the rest of the positions.

When you are first doing it it may hurt but as you keep practicing the hurt will slowly go away.

yeah. but it'll hurt a lot though. and sometimes they might stretch a muscle or something.

If you want to do the splits you can become flexible. Just stretch your legs whenever you are sitting down watching TV. 3 times a day if possible. You'll be doing the splits in no time.

it really depends on their body and muscles. the best way to get your splits is to stretch every day. i finally got my splits last month and ive been working on it for years!

in doing the splits, you'll become flexible, and will be able to do other flexible things.
keep in mind that you can be flexible in different ways- legs forward, legs backward, back. doing the splits has to do with your legs' flexibility.
stretch everyday- like watching tv, etc. my latest obsession- therabands= very helpful!

If you aren't flexible enough to do the splits, your muscles won't be able to go far enough to do them. That's why people don't just pop into the splits all the time. As you gain flexibility, you will be able to go down farther and farther into the splits. You just need to stretch a LOT, meaning once or more every day after warming up (when you're warm, you're sweating lightly). Stretching without warming up increases your risk of pulling a muscle, and your muscles stretch further when you're warm.

I know MOMS that can do the splits lol
