No it is not true at all, it will just take work.

After th age of 11 you and your body is a little more mature and what not.

But if you work at it a little everyday it will come. Here are some tips that i tell dancers to do to improve their turnout and it applies to all ages.

1. When you do your barre watch your turn out and not you arms and upper body because depending on how long you have been dancing you will see that you can to barre with out thinking. So watch the turnout make sure it comes from the hips not the knees and ankles as much. also putting stress on your ankles and knees can really damage your body as a dancer.

2. While walking down the street and even around the house walk with a turnout it will help your body adapt to it and will be more accustom to go to that position.

3. Do the frog position every day for 5 minuets and just watch t.v you will forget about what is going on and you will see a difference.

4. Just practice and be aware of it and it will come to you.

I hope you take my advise and that it helps. : )

No.

flexibility vary with age, you can still be flexible of the age of 16, but not like a 11 year old kid! i mean if some1 wants to dance, they better go into it on the early age to make their body get used to everything, kids can do things faster , it might take them a move 1 hour, but to olders, it will take days to do it correctly

OF COURSE NOT! u can still get a good turnout after the age of 11. well just practice a lot and i bet ur going to get those turnouts perfectly :)

I have been dancing at my current studio for going on 9 years. I have NEVER been flexible-I am the only one in my family to dance. It was just this year-a few years after 11-that I got both splits. You can improve flexibility, you just have to work at it consistently.

no it is just hard once you have stopped growing.
