Position:Home>Dancing> Singaporean dancers help?

Question:Okay so I'm a current undergrad and have been thinking of trying to earn some extra cash by teaching dance classes in community centres or wherever else they allow dance lessons to be conducted. Problem is although I have an excellent track record for back up from secondary and JC dance days, I do not have a cert. to actually do these classes. Its more for the passion and to do something that is fun for both me and whoever wants to join.
Anyone know from experience if for one, community centres will even entertain me let alone put up the normal posters/banners to promote the class knowing i do not have a cert. from NAFA or Laselle or anything? Any other things i should look out for? Or will anybody in the normal SIngapore community wanna join such dance classes (hip hop) for the experience and to let off steam? Any form of help would be greatly appreciated.
*(Appreciate it if only serious answers are left behind).

I'm not sure you should probably ask around at community centers - YMCA & such will probably let you teach or assist a class. Have you taught dance at all (as a volunteer)? I don't think you can get a job as a paid dance teacher because you dont have the credentials/certification. If you are really as fueled by your passion as you say, you should start out as a volunteer so that when you get certified, you will already have all this experience under your belt.

You could also try going to a dance studio and asking if they need any help during your classes. They probably won't let you teach a class, but you could be an assistant teacher.

Hope that helped!
