First pick a piece of music that you think you want to dance and also what you think others would enjoy. The music should have accents even if it is slow and lyrical. Once you have the music break it down into sections. Dynamics shoud rise and fall with the highest at the end of very near it. You did not mention if you know how to count music or if you have any dance experience so.......As I said above do it in sections ( or counts) and name the sections with titles that you can remember. This way you can say we need to practice the split leap section or the roll on the floor section, etc.
Give yourself enough time to choreograph and then learn the dance. Time seems to fly when trying to work out dance steps. Also It is easier to remember a 2 1/2 minute or 3 minute dance than it is a 5 minute one. If time is short see if you can cut the song to shorten it. Think about what you will wear as tight pants..... you can't split or move well. Change formations every so often, have a person pose while the other does a trick, and repaet with the other person dancing.. There are so many other things in choreographing a good dance and not enought time to explain them all.. Take your time and do a good job..... Good Luck

to remember, you just have to set your mind to remembering it! and for choreographing it, watch movies and stuff with dancing in it and pick up some moves, or make up your own! i have trouble coroegraphing! i ask my sister and dance teacher for help.

Well, you should always write down what moves you are doing on a piece of paper for future references. And the key to an interesting and cool dance to perform is incorporating many different types of dance like hip-hop, break-dance, swing, jazz, and you can even add a few of your own cool moves! GOOD LUCK :)

it'z mad eazy just keep practicing if u really like dancing it shouldn't be that hard

Watch a bunch of videos and figure what kind of style you and your friend are interested in. Then pick out some key moves and practice them slowly. Remember to count! It also helps to write your moves down in case you forget. Also, a video camera would definitely help you guys out with your positioning.

1) go with what you think is right. Even if it looks weird, it probably doesn't.
2) write it down...even though it's a pain. It's good.
