Question:i really want to start ballet but am a little unfit at the moment. im not fat or anything but my legs probably arnt as strong as they could be

No you don't have to be fit. I'm not as fit as I could be, but I am starting ballet! It's painful, at first, because i'm using muscles that I don't normally, but once they get going it'll be ok. The same can be applied to you. Ballet will help you get fit, help your posture and just generally keep your body in great shape. Just have fun and take things at your own pace.

NO NO NO...and no. lol. The point of ballet (no pun intended) is to GET fit. Start ballet. It will help tone your muscles and make you stronger. Trust me on this. Anybody can do ballet. The whole Balanchine ballerina image is totally abolished nowadays except in like...completely snooty schools.

You don't have to be fit but the dancers I've seen are INCREDIBLY fit and some of the best and most disciplined athletes I know of. So, perhaps that is what you may become if you decide to do ballet. All for the better, right?

no. i guess not, if u hav 2 b fit 2 do ballet, it wouldnt make any sense as a lot of ppl tk up ballet to BECOME fit. so dont worry, go ahead n hav fun, which i'm sure u will

You get fit by taking ballet.

start ballet to get fit. ballet will help you with the muscle strength... i used to have weak legs. i even started breakdancing. hahaha lol. if you're still unsure, do leg exercises. ^^

yes do u know HOW HARD IT QORKS YOUR ABS HOW FIT YOU HAVE TO BE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEFORE YOU START MAKE SURE YOU HAVE STRONG LEGS OR THINGS SUCH AS A LIFT OF LEG AND HOLDING IT ARE GONNA KILL!

it depends. If you plan on just taking a beginner class no. But if you plan on doing it professonaliy then of course. Trust me You will get stronger.

No, ballet will get you fit. However, you should definitely do some stretching and exercising on your own so you can get stronger. Good Luck!

of course not! you can start doing ballet if you are huge or tiny! ballet helps you get fit and ballet will help your legs get stronger!
