What's your Favorite Type of Dance?

Question:What is your favorite type/genre of dance and why? How long have you been taking it? Why is it hard, unique and fun to watch? Mine is probably lyrical. Just so you know, the best answer won't be the choice most similar to me, but the most unique and convincing. Thanks! Good luck!

I love dance as a whole, but my favorite is modern/lyrical. However, I think I might be better in ballet(ironic,huh). Well anyway, I've been doing lyrical/modern for about 7 or 8 years, but I've only been taking it for about 3.I truly enjoy watching modern dance because usually it has a meaning to it and it is usually very influential to me. I particularly enjoy watching pieces with music that really intrigues my spirit.

Jazz tap or ballet/ pointe but they are all awesome and way to hard to decide between

ANYTHING!!!!!! any dance is beautiful. i have been taking:
ballet:6 years
Jazz:3 years
Lyrical: 1/2 a year
Tap: 1/2 a year

Anything with a good beat.....cuz it's groovy!

i kno two wayyy different things but the way you move and how it flows is incredable. they are a challenge and when you overcome them they are the best things. its something i love to do and i would hate to have it be taken away

My favorite type of dance is ballet/pointe. I just switched to a new studio so i've only been dancing ballet there for 2 years and pointe for 1. I've taken almost all kinds of dance and I think that ballet is the hardest. But I also think that it is the most beautiful. I love pointe but it hurts...especially because I don't have the strongest ankles. people ask me all the time why I do pointe if it hurts, gives me blisters and things. It's hard to answer them because I just can't say how much I love it. None of my friends understand the passion I have for dance. Most of my friends never want the weekend to end. I can't wait for it to end so that I can dance. lastly the thing I love best about ballet/pointe are the costumes...haha!!!

I love any form of dance. But if i had to choose it would be neo classical. I love how ballet and modern are so beutiffully combined together to form dance. Also it is more fun because you can really get ito the drama of it but still be on pointe. George Balenchine did it best :)

i did folk for 3 years, ballet for 1/2, hiphop for 5 years, been a bgal for 4 months, ballroom for 2 months, jazz for 6 months,i do contemporary for 6 months now. i'd have to say that i love contemporary. but, if i'm given the chance to dance on stage, whatever dance genre it may be, i go for it.

why contemporary? cause i can use hiphop moves, jazz moves, ballet moves ..etc. and whats so cool about it is that i can freely express what i feel... i remembered a performance when i cried on stage while dancing. hahaha. got carried away. hahaha.
