Hi. I used to do lyrical jazz when I was in high school.

There are a lot of good lyrical songs. I often prefer songs from the eighties (see the end of this message to get the song selection. First, let me see of some good sources to find the music you need.

The best lyrical jazz normally comes from the acid/smooth jazz genre. The slower acid jazz types is the best. I can give you a few options of sources, which should offer a plethora of lyrical options

Check out "www.podshow.com". Click on "shows" in the left hand side of the page. After that, there is a vertical listing of channels. Go the the bottom of that vertical list. There should be a button that has an arrow. Click on that arrow until you get to "music". Click on "music", and then you will see blocks representing the different music channels in the podcast. Click on the podcast box that has a lady's face on it. It is called "Chillcast" (in orange letters).
She has a lot of "chill"music that should suit your needs.
My favorite is the first song on episode #92. The first song "Home" by Hibernate maybe a little too fast, but still a great song.

Now, for the acid jazz, register with rhapsody.com. They have a section for music channels. Choose the Acid Jazz station. That will give you some awesome songs to choose from.

Now, for particular songs......Most songs from Sade will never fail you. Check out "Sweetest Taboo" (the video can be found on Youtube and AOL Video. Also check out "No Ordinary Love", and "Smooth Operator".

Well, actually Hide and Seek is pretty popular, but i LOVE that song!
