Look in the phone book, do a search online, check your local recreation centers, YMCAs, local activity listings in the newspaper, and dance studios (they may know where to refer you). Also see if they are taught at any local colleges. You could then see if the instructor also teaches privately or teaches classes outside of school.

In my area, lessons are given at a local recreation center but the way I learned that was by seeing a calendar of their activities online when searching for belly dance classes.
