Question:When i was 2 until I was 9 I did ballet. I really regret quitting and miss being a good dancer. I took classes at camps in hip-hop, tap and jazz but I'm really not good. I was only good until I was 9. I really want to go into hip hop now. I just dont feel body movements. Dance classes arent an option until next year but if you could give me some advice on just figuring out basic dances to music and stretches so I can get my flexibility back, that would be great.

I dont do hip hop or jazz or anything, but i am a ballet dancer and i have to say am pretty flexible and i can deffinitelly help you with that part. It's really easy, so lets take a breather! take a little 5 minutes everyday, all you need to do would be the basics, stretch the back of your legs by reaching down to your toes (or do it on the floor too, i find that more effective because you can flex your feet or pointe them etc.) also try to go into the splits for a few seconds on all three sides, remember your goal is to get to the floor but not break yourself! and since you used to do ballet you probably know this: pied a la main. dont do exactly that, but just take your legs and try to bring them as high as you can and hold them. i really hope this helps you! :)
