Position:Home>Dancing> I'd like to start taking dance classes, but how?

Question:I'm an actress, and I participate a lot in local community theater and school productions. However, I have absolutely no dance experience. I have a background in gymnastics, but that's it. I'd gladly start taking classes, but I don't know how. All of my dance friends have been doing it there whole life, and I haven't. I'd really to start though so it looks good when I audition for a show. How can I start? I'm 13 years old.

look up some dance studios in your area from the phone book or google or some place online
after that write down all of your possiabilities and call each place to find out the prices and class information
start off by taking classes at a few different studios to see which one you like the best
take beginner classes for people your age and slowly move up

GOODLUCK i hope you find a good one =]

Look on google and search for "dance classes". Find where you live and then find one you're interested in and have someone(mom or dad)take you to set it up! Good Luck!

Look in your phonebook for dance studios in your area and call them to check prices, class times, etc. You should make sure they have the types of dance you want to take and that the teachers have professional experience. They may have a certain time that you can enroll, like a semester or something, so ask about that, too. Dance is incredibly challenging and fun and just all around amazing, so I'm glad you want to start!
