Am i too tall to dance?????

Question:im 5"3 - 5"3 1/2 and im 11. I want to start hip hop and ballet, but i've noticed that pretty much all ballet dancers are extreeeeemely petite. also, mosthip hop dancers are at least average height. Can i still dance without looking very stupid????

yes! height shouldn't matter. as long as you're willing to put in the work, have fun, and are passionate about it... it shouldn't matter how tall you are (because you aren't that tall to begin with lol). good luck!

I'll put it this way, in 5th grade I was 5"6' and I was a dancer. You can totally dance! If anything, you have an advantage! But the only down side is you might be put in the back if you're in a class. That happened so many times to me haha.

Why I've seen some ballet dancers that were about 5'8" and were amazing!
Height & weight doesn't matter :)

your height really doesnt matter as long as you know waht your doing you wont look stupid so dance who cares how tall you are

I've danced ballet and ballroom with women over 6' tall....don't worry about height. 5'3" at age 11 you are not tall at all.
