It took me FOREVER to get my full split, and I was so frustrated with it. So this summer at ballet camp, I decided I was going to get it once and for all. So what I did was sit in a split (or as much of one as I could manage) for 1 minute on each side every morning. Every day, I found myself going a little lower, and one day, maybe about 4 weeks into the program, I got my full split!! I still sat in a split for one minute every day after I got it, and I felt so accomplished when I finally had.
It's painful to do this at first, but if you just endure the 2 minutes of pain every day pretty soon you will have a gorgeous full split!! And the good thing is, once you have it, provided you stretch fairly regularly (not even every day is necessary, I have found) it's much more difficult to lose it than to get it!!

yes, stretching a little farther everyday will help.
if your watching t.v. or doing homework or something and your sitting on the floor do it in the splits, try putting your elbows on the floor its a amazing streth. im actually doing it at the moment. =] good luck and dont hurt yourself.

God yeah! I didn't do daily stretching (although i'm pretty flexible) and i still managed to do them. Go for it!

You definitely will if you stretch everyday. Make sure you do lots of leg stretches before you go into the split though-pulling muscles hurt! And cramps are the worst things ever as well.
