Is it possible for a 16 year old to start ballet?

Question:I took ballet when I was about 5, till when I was maybe 8, but had to quit because of school. i want to start up again.

you are never too old to start ballet.
you should try looking for a studio that has beginning teen ballet or open ballet classes.

Of course you can start dance!!! Go to a dance studio you have picked out, remember just becouse it's cheaper dosen't mean it's better! sign up for open ballet, that means anybody of any age can join...as you move up through the levels you will move up with your class

she was in the same situation as you.
you probably will be with younger kids, even in a teen ballet class.
see if theres an adult ballet class..for all levels.

I know loads of people who started ballet when they were 16!!!! You'll pick it up really fast because your old so you will get the basics and move on faster. I am 15 and started when i was 3 but because i was young it took me ages to improve!! 16 is perfect!
