What makes a good WCS song varies widely but here is one guideline:

It should be complicated enough that an advanced dancer can work the breaks and accents but not so tough that a beginner can't dance to it in a straight forward manner.

IE:

"Texas" by Chris Rea is too simple for advanced dancers... beginners love it but it puts advanced dancers to sleep.

"Baby Get Lost" by Queen Latifa and "Chains" by Tina Arena are too complex for beginners... they're a serious challange for advanced dancers that can be used for great dances but beginners are left confused by the strong breaks.

So a great song can be played both ways... with that in mind, try these for some great songs that you don't hear too often:

"Doin' it all for my Baby", Huey Lewis and the News (off Live at 25)

"Somewhere, Somebody", Aaron Neville

"Something About that Woman", Lakeside (live version)

"Make It With You" Gerald Levert & Eddie Levert Sr.

Two that I like to dance WCS to:

Can't Get You Out Of My Head - Kylie Minogue.

Game of Love - Michelle Branch & Carlos Santana
