Position:Home>Dancing> How can I inprove my turn out for dance?

Question:I have flat feet and I have little turn out. I was wondering if there are any stretches and/or exercises that could help my turn out? I am 18 years old, does that mean it will be harder to get a good turn out?

The more classes you do, the more you can work your turnout, especially during your barre work. If you don't do class every day, be sure to stretch at home daily (splits: center & sides, frog leg stretch, straddle stretches). Also, Pilates is a wonderful way to build strength and flexibility and is very beneficial for dancers. It helps turn out and core strength, which will give you better extension as well. You are still young enough to greatly improve your flexibility. Good luck!

Yes, but just a little. What you can do is lie on your belly in a plie.
it helps alot.
