Position:Home>Dancing> Can you still b able to do splits if you pulled your hamstring! ...?

Question:Its been a week and i can go nowhere near the ground while doing the splits. I could split before but i pulled a hamstring due to lack of warming up before splitting. My concern is that would i be as flexible i used to be... and how long rest should i take?

Thanks

Stop trying to do the splits! You need to heal, you're only making it worse. Once it is healed you might have to work for that last inch-1/2 inch that you might lose but besides that you shouldn't have to start from scratch.

stop trying to do the splits until your hamstring heals. that will only make it a longer recovery. once it heals you probably won't be back to where you were as far as flexibility prior to pulling it. its going to take you a while to get your splits back but just keep working at ti, and always ALWAYS warm up before streching. you don't want to pull something again

You need to have lots of rest, probably about 2 weeks, if yo don't rest and continue to so the splits you'll just aggravate the hamstring muscle which in turn will take longer for the muscle to heal, eat plenty of protein, which helps heal damaged muscles..

Hardly no cause I did a split before 1 time and kind of like busted my hamstring so I couldnt do splits anymore. But for after about 3 weeks it felt better so I began doing splits again.

Like all the other people you should rest first till you can bend or other things that are easy to do then you should try do the splits.

my friend did that

she didn't dance for like 3 weeks and if she did she only did kicks and splits on the other hamstring that she didn't pull..
