Position:Home>Dancing> Im 14 and just started Ballet how long do you think it will be till i can be on

Question:You will go on pointe when your teachers think you are ready and not before. If you are done growing and you are strong enough and you've learned your lessons, you should be on pointe in a year or less. It is not a matter of how long you've taken classes, but of talent and technique.

6 months? It all depends. Some girls just have a natural flair for pointe, whilst others struggle. You'll need to work hard on your technique, but once you build up your muscular strength it'll be dead easy - Just don't rush into it.

you can go on pointe when ur grade 6. Cause my daughter is a ballerina

These other answers are not true! i have been dancing for 15 years and it took me 4 years to get my points! you have to be really good!

Well that all depends upon the syllabus you are doing, the teacher, and YOURSELF. If you are doing the R.A.D. syllabus then it will take you around 4-7 years. I also started at a late stage. That was last year when i was 13. I am in grade 3 and i have never done an exam. So it will take me another 4 years because to get to point shoes because it takes 7 years. Practice hard and if you can take around 4 classes a week then you can do two exams per year. Thats all now. Later!!!

if you never did ballet or something of that kind before, i think about a year, since it is dangerous to wear pointe if your feet are not used to it, it could cause serious damage to you. if you did ballet before then it depends for how long you did it and when you stopped, if you did it before, you could wear pointe in like 2-4 months, or if you were up to a high level when you stopped, even from now!

I got on to it in 5 months

Im very good though

So 5-8 months

GOOD LUCK x
