There's a new teacher this year and she has no clue abuot anything when it comes to hip hop. She's picked horrible costumes for our recital! The idea behind our dance is that there are two groups; ballet and hip hop dancers, who fight over the use of the stage and then end up dancing hip hop together. She wants us to wear a plain white tee with yoga or jazz pants (like they did for the one solo on So You Think You Can Dance?) Nobody likes the costumes. Can you please give me some ideas for tops and/or bottoms or whatever for a costume?? Any appropriate ideas are welcome! The age range is from 13 - 17, and preferably it would be something not too expensive!! Thanks to all in advance :o)` Try changing up the tops, maybe wear leotards or sports bras w/ tank tops all in the same or two different colors. Or maybe just sit the teacher down and see if you can come to some sort of agreement?? well for hiphop pick out street clothes cargo pants are a really good choice for hip hop dancing.
