Question:What is the best brand and style of tap shoes?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: What is the best brand and style of tap shoes?

I have bloch tap shoes

they have a plate on the bottom called techno tap
they make the best sound!
I have been wearing them ever since I started and others at my dance school have worn paul wrights but they are a very awkward shape and the tapping sound is no where near as good as a bloch.

Many people I know of who have converted from paul wrights to blochs for size reasons say that it is very difficult to get used to....but after a while they have come back and said they will never go back to paul wrights as they not only feel better in the shoes, they have better balance and a better sound.

Bloch shoes come in many sizes and half sizes so you are sure to get your size. They also have a few different styles.

these are the links to the products on the website and you nearest store can also be found from this website.

this is the list of bloch tap shoes available:
simply click on the link and then you will see a list of tap shoe styles. Click on the style for more information and different colour availabilities.

there are many styles available from bloch and there is surely a stockist near you ... if not listed on the website then call you local dance shop and ask them if they stock bloch or if they know anyone who does.

bloch are also a very competent and long lasting performance and examination shoe. Not to mention great for class.

hope i helped
have fun tapping
cheers

Capezio i think is the best i use it and you should too.

every professional tap dancer has their own likes and styles.
And let me tell you, they come expensive, only expensive! Plus, the proffesional kind dont come with the actual taps. u have to go to a shoe hospital to get the ones you want put on them.

Bloch and Paul Wright are EXCELLENT. Bloch lasts forever. Stay away from Energetiks-they're not that good.

I just got a Paul Wright pair yesterday and they are soooo good. The plates are the best plates I have ever seen. And it also comes with grips.

Hope I helped ;)

I have my advanced tappers wear character taps with at least a 3 inch heel. My preferance for them is the Capezio 657 'Manhattan Xtreme' style. It has a great sound to it, and it also helps build more leg muscle when you tap in heels.
I have a few friends who tap professionally, and they really like Miller & Ben tap shoes, but I don't know a lot about them, having never worn them myself.

uhhhh i have leo and there soo conmfertable but theres bloch and capezio anyone of these are great i like the slip on one i think they are great !! hope this helps
DANCE ROCKS!!!!
