~Venue: if it is not at your house, make sure your reservation is made with the venue for the right time and place. Reserve it for a few hours before and after the party to allow time to set up/clean up. Also, make sure you pay them according to their policy and follow their rules as to food, drink, supplies, etc. If it is at your house, make sure you have enough room open for dancing and that you have any areas that people should go to closed off and locked.
~Music: if you don't have a DJ, make sure you have enough speakers and a good playlist with a variety of songs for dancing to.
~Food: have all the food ready in advance so you are not rushing around. If you are having it catered, allow enough time for the staff to set up the food and get prepared before the party
~Invites: send out 3-4 weeks before the party. Make sure to include all of the important info (including how to dress, if they should bring presents ...) Put an RSVP on the invite and have the date set for between 7-12 days before the party (your caterers will need to know how many ppl)
~Dress: go shopping for what you will wear early so that it is ready. Make sure no tailoring needs to be done and have a backup outfit incase you spill on the dress or something
