How much belly dancers get payd dancing in the restaurants?

Question:I dance regularly at several restaurants. On average, we (myself and another dancer) get paid a flat rate (anywhere from $25 to $50 apiece). After that, we keep whatever tips are handed out.
On average, I can make $60 to $125 for a two-hour restaurant show. We do have a strong Middle Eastern population where I live, but all the other patrons get in on the fun, too.
For a "bellygram" or a private party like a wedding or birthday, it varies.Bellygrams are $100 and usually last about 15 to 20 minutes. Parties are negotiable. An hour is usually $100 plus tips.

According to my bellydancing teacher, not a whole lot. She dances for 2 sets for about 40 minutes each. She said she got about $30 for the night. It sounds super low but it was also a very casual restaurant. I'm sure nicer ones pay much better. She is good but she is a bit older if that makes any difference at all (I doubt it would).

I guess most belly dancers don't dance for the money nor dance at restaurants full time. I believe it's mostly for the love of dance and just some extra cash on the side.

It depends where you are and whether or not your area has a local guild (or other organization) which controls (somewhat) the rate of hire. Where I am these are the going rates from our guild:
$60 for 1 show / $75 for 2 shows / $90 for 3 shows. This is a special rate for clubs because they have regularly scheduled dance performances. Minimum private party rates: $100 for 1 show.
Shows are generally about 30 minutes. This is the rate where I am but there are areas in the US that are lower and areas that are higher. I don't know how much it is in other countries at all so I can't compare that way either.
