Spring Fling ideas?

Question:ok, heres round two. our PTA is throwing the high school a spring fling, and its SEMI-FORMAL. my mom is on the PTA, and i have been given the task of choosing a theme. i would appreciate your ideas. also, if you answered my first question, please dont answer again unless u thought of something new. thnx!

~A Night in the City: New York themed. The tickets could look like plane tickets. You can have movie/musical posters up on the walls and maybe a wall with graffiti. Make backdrops of things like the Empire State Building for pictures. Have a sitting area with benches and fake trees and stuff to be like Central Park
~Shopping: have shopping bags and logos on the walls. Have some photo booths and maybe arcade games around. For food, do like a food court.
~Postcard: tickets could look like postcards. Have different areas to represent different countries, like maybe a China sitting area with paper lanterns and bamboo. You could have food from around the world. For a picture backdrop, you could do the eiffel tower.

what about a summer/easter type thing with flowers and whatever. Or you could go with a Valentine's theme.

try a casino night, with the red carpet and then volunteers behind tables giving out like poker chips. or like, a grammy night with the red carpet and then have a vote at your school for like best dressed and best couple etc. then announce them at the dance!

Our spring fling last year was an "under water" one and it was SO cool. We put up a tun on blue paper and people came in hawiian shirts and there were beach balls it was really fun.

The other one that was my favorite was we had a "Starry night" one. and the room was really dark and had great music and the tables were silver and had big starts everywere. it was really really cool!
