Usually something at a Jr. College is going to combine jazz and ballet technique, so you will probably need at least one leotard, tights, ballet slippers and jazz shoes. Optional stuff would be any warm-up tops, legwarmers, dance skirts, jazz pants, etc.
But, make sure you check the course description or talk to the teacher about the dress requirements. At my school, there were a few people that did the class in sweats and a t-shirt, but I would not think of dancing in anything besides actual dancewear.

For just the basic leotard, tights and two pairs of shoes, you can probably expect to spend around $50, depending on what you get. discounddancesupply.com has some good deals, while boutiques and big brands like Capezio are going to be more expensive. If you spring for a warm-up top, and jazz pant or other extras, expect to lay down anywhere from $60 to $150, depending on what you decide to get.

Best of Luck!

it costed me like $150
