Tahitian Dance INFO?

Question:heyy,

Iam a 16 yr old female and I'm interested in learing how to do a Tahitian Dance. I have no experince at all but I'm willing to learn! Im meixcan nicaraguense american, is it wierd that I want to learn this dance?
I like the way you shake our hips and all the movements.....I LOVE IT!!!

Anyways.....can people of any race do this dance? And whats your experience from Tahitian Dance ?

Of course people of ANY ethnic background can do any type of dancing! I am not sure where you're located, but in NYC I used to attend a dance school that offered Tahitian Hula classes. There were women from Polynesian backgrounds, but as well as white and other ethnic backgrounds taking the class and performing. I love the way they move their hips as well and it looks like a great workout!

Take a class and go for it! Dance is universal, its something anyone can understand no matter where you are from.
