Position:Home>Dancing> Fouettes? and alecetones (sp)? Splits?


Question:How can I get these? I almost have them but I travel so much when I do them and lose balance after like 2 of them. I also almost have my splits...like 2 inches from the ground..What stretches can I do to get better? okay one more thing.. I'm trying to get my legs stretched out so that I fully extend my foot up to me ear.. What are some good stretches or whatever for this?

for fouettes hold onto a barre and just practice bringing your foot out and around without turning on flat feet, then releve (on your toes...i cant spell anything...) then eventually once you feel ready start turning and add more turns little by little

for splits try just stretching in a broken split and on a barre and bring you nose to your knees
trust me it worked for me now i have all my splits and both heelstretches etc. just stretch everyday

I think you mean "a la seconde". Make sure you pull up and spot. Think about your foot sliding around a record player...it's the little thingy that follows it...not sure what it's called; I'm a product of the 90's.
