Question:well, i wanna learn how to dance hip hop. but i'm just so stiff. my shoulders, legs, and arms are really stiff and i would just like to know what i could do about it to make myself loose.

I would say take time to stretch and warm up. Also- and this may sound strange to you- take a ballet class. WAIT! I know you're first thought: "No way, that's never going to happen!" But seriously consider it because ballet is the basis of ALL dance! Also, pulling in and working on your core and posture in ballet is a great way to know what NOT to do during hip hop. After doing all of your ballet, you probably be dying to loosen up!

You just have to let your body go and FEEL the music!

there are some very good stretchs aroundand you can look on the internet for some.

if you are going to classes then it is(well should be) part of the class to do stretchs.

Do warm ups and stretching 3 times a week for about 30 mins. to 1 hr. but i recommend this with a professional teacher. then copy some of the steps slowly with the teacher or for safety reasons enroll at a dance school/studio.

you can try yoga...or just do stretches every day.
