line dancing. Can you do the macarena?

you should try break dancing-i hear thats good for bad backs!!!

don't know but my guess is don't dip.

I would suggest ballroom dancing. It is much more refined and not as strenuous on your body as other forms of dance where you are forced to roll on the ground, and throw yourself around. My other suggestion would be something like a basic modern, which will be very transferable to other forms of dance. You might be surprised by how muscle conditioning dance is; it might even strengthen your back.

I guess that would depend on the type of music you like. What does your wife like to dance to?

Well, I would say that if you like ballroom, then go for that. I myself dance ballet, but if your back has been hurting, I wouldn't try it, hence the floor exercises. Sometimes the roll for a man in ballroom dancing can be easy, but sometimes you'll have to lift your partner up, which might be tough. The roll for a woman in ballroom, though, is tough so I wouldn't try it if you are a woman.

ballroom is hard as i do it. but you quickly learn if ur a natural.

Couples dancing is the best! I just joined a dance group here in Birmingham Alabama that is directly connected to a dance studio where we teach all styles from classical ballet to latin and salsa to jazz and even hip hop. As a member of the group that goes around doing shows inorder to promote the studio we do all the styles. My favorite is the couples styles like east coast swing (easy but fast) night club (again easy but can be added with some different moves to make it look really cool) and everybody loves latin. They are definately a work out but most of our classes are filled with older couples and they love it. Best thing to do is find a studio that offers a bunch of different styles and just play around find a dance you really love and get good at it and then move on. Dancing is a great way to do something with your wife and it really keeps you in shape. Just make the instructor aware of your back problems and they will help stear you way from the more intricate moves.
Good lucks and happy dancing! It truly is addictive.

roller disco dancing or break dancing body popping super freaky spin on your head sh1t, its dope and also fly. jive on mother trucker. get down.

stick to ballroom dancing my grade had to take it once for a year and its really easy to learn and to catch on to =]

I agree with your wife: you should take up Ballroom Dancing. Before you commence classes you should talk to the instructor saying how you do have a bad back-they will then probably alter the dances to suit your needs.

I would also suggest taking the Beginners class if you have not had any prior dance experience.

I hope you really enjoy any style of dance that you decide to start.

Hope this helps :)

whats easiest to learn is based on you. for some of my friends ballet is easiest. for my sister it's jazz and tap. i personally find hiphop easy for me. it's just what interests/motivates you and what your body feels most natural doing. if you wanna try ballroom, give it a shot. don't worry about it being to hard. you're doing this to have fun so it's no biggie if it takes you longer to learn some moves. just take a beginner class. if it's still too hard consider quitting and trying something else. eventually you'll find something that suits you. have fun!

pls try dance in your Dream! Joke!
