Question:My theme is the idea that,
'we are the mirrors of the world, we reflect who and what the world has become' i have two pictures to do with this caption.
i am finding it IMPOSSIBLE to find music and i have one motif but im really struggling at the moments. i think once i have found the music it will give me some insperation for more ideas.

my teacher sugested music with no lyrics and possibly the sound of braking galss or mirros in the back ground?!?

i was thinking of showing somthing that is happening in the world today??

PLEASE HELP!

ok. your idea it's very nice, and has more potential. BUT, try to think by yourself and not to believe your teacher in every moment.
i have only two questions for you. maybe this way is useful.
Why do you want to put music? You really need music? i mean the piece is comprehensible only in case that you put music?

i suggest you to think twice at this think, because the music (this option) is Very Important in the dramaturgy of a piece. so if the music is abstract (the one indicated by your teacher), then, i suppose that you must find a solution for a certain type of coherence. and i think the abstract music - without lyrics - can be difficult to manage. so, try to think clearly what you want to say with the music - because you have your own story, your own idea, but the music also has a certain idea and a certain story. so if you try to combine them, then, the result will be different. this, of course, may be a good thing, but you need to be aware of your own intention (mirror man) and of what you're choosing to accomplish this intention in the way you want to. i hope i helped. in fact, this can be a long and controversial discussion.

ps: try to pay more attention to the "circumstances"/ maybe you find impossible to get some music, because you are not sure yet of what you really want to say. or maybe you just don't need it. and the music doesn't appear from anywhere.

some songs I think would be good are
I'll stand by you - girls aloud
girl in the mirror- britney
the gambler - kenny rodgers

(I Want To Be) Elected - Alice Cooper (US elections on just now).
I Love The Sound Of Breaking Glass - Nick Lowe (on the mirror theme).
Another Brick In The Wall - Pink Floyd (has the famous lyrics "we don't need no education" relating to the news that schools are failing standards)
War - Edwin Starr - classic and relevant to Iraq, Afghanistan etc.

I am very surprised that you can do a GCSE in Dance Choreography at all but good luck in what ever you do. Your written English is a whole lot better than many who come on here, so I assume that you have also studied more main stream, practical things as well.

Fingers crossed for you.

michael jackson, man in the mirror? its a tuff one. you should try a search engine.
