Hi Tiffany,

I am sorry you can't get to classes, any teacher would love to have such a passionate student!!

Write off to the Royal Academy of Dancing - they have syllabi available on video - you might be able to purchase them one and study and work at it that way.

The hardest thing about teaching yourself is that you run the risk of injury through improper training. You need someone to be able to correct any alignment problems. Eg you can turn out from your hip or your knee (or both) and you really should only turn out from your hip. Some times only a trained person can see that kind of error and tell you what you are doing and correct it.

Make sure you have a mirror!!!

Whatever you do - just keep dancing - just keep enjoying and being as passionate as you are...

Some things that you can just work on at home are:

-Flexibility
-Turns
-Leaps/Jumps

Try and get your splits, jete's and russians.

Hope this helps :)
