Where can I go to a ball? (Scotland)?

Question:I've just been to see Enchanted in the flics with my partner and we both left talking about going to a fancy ball. But I don't even know where to start looking for one to go to? I know about some that are on for St Andrews Day but other than that I am clueless!

So a posh ball in Scotland, any ideas?
I'm not bothered about cost it would be a luxury one off thing anyway :-p

"Enchanted" was delightful wasn't it? If you're going to a public fancy ball you will likely need to buy the tickets well in advance. I'm assuming you live in Scotland then? Check with the local ballroom dance societies, they'll likely know the details.
