Position:Home>Dancing> How do you rate dance?

Question:I am planning to do "Thriller" in my Drama class for my summative. However, the teacher will only do it if I provide her some literature to detail the basic way to judge someone's dancing abilities. If you could please point me in the right direction, I'll greatly appreciate it (but I'm sure my marks will more!). Thank you so much for reading.

If you're interested in critiquing choreography, this is a great site:

To critique dancers individually, I would catergorize my grading system:
-Knowledge of Dance
-Dynamics
-Rhythm and Timing
-Alignment and Technique
-Performance and Quality of Movement
---Focus
---Transitions
---Energy
---Clarity of Movement
---Completion of Movement

have fun, and good luck! Thriller is a fun one! =)

I judge alot of dance competitions and this is the format we use

100 pts all together

40 pts for Techinque
20 pts for Performance
10 pts for Appearance
10 pts for Choreography
10 pts for Execution

Does that make sense? If not, write me.
