you can combine ballet with gymnastics because it has more movement and if you do yoga a relaxing thing with gymnastics or ballet its really akward dont you think ......

gymnastics

I'd say pilates as its relaxing like yoga but has the good stretching techniques that will help with muscle lengthening and stretching. The danger with gymnastics is that you might bulk up the wrong muscles thus making you the "wrong" shape for ballet. But it depends how serious you intend to get. I combine my ballet with pilates and swimming.

I agree with Jemp.
Pilates would be the best combination with ballet, because it directly builds your core muscles (which are the foundation for any dance, especially ballet).
Although, yoga could definitely help you as well; it also builds up core muscles (though not as much as pilates), and it helps with breathing and flexibility.

It really depends on what you want to get out of the combination; if you already have a strong core, but you're not as flexible as you want to be, I'd go with yoga. If you're looking to build up your muscles and stamina, pilates is the way to go.

I say pilates. When I was studying with the Cleveland Ballet (which is no more) I went to a local pilates studio and it did me a world of good. It helps you build strength while keeping your muscles elongated (basically you get stronger but you don't "bulk up") is helps with flexability also.
I would watch out for gymnastics, take a look at pictures of dancers and then gymnasts. there is a big difference.

I would go with pilates too! My teacher said that it strengthens all the main muscles that dancers use, but keeps them long and lean and not bulky. Hope this helps!!! : )
