If you really put your mind to it, and take classes several times a week, it's never too late. I knew someone who started as an adult, and ended up doing music videos. Don't ever give up on what you want to do. And don't ever let anyone tell you, you can't do something. You can do anything you want to do. You just have to not give up. Good luck!

sure. i think that if you are willing to put in the time and the work, it is possible to become a great dancer at just about any age.

hell yerr!
your not that old
if you took a couple of dance classes a week, you could go pro!
most proffesionals are like 22-25
so you got at least five years
if you really love it
you'll make it

yes i do i dont think it matters how old you are just go for it you can do what ever you what if you really want it .if thats your passion you will be fantastic.

It is possible to become a great dancer no matter your age. To be frank: many famous ballet dancers start at a very young age, but seeing as you do not want to be a ballet dancer and instead, want to dance hip hop and contemporary, I can see many ways that restarting dance at this age can help you develop the skills and technique that both contemporary, hip hop, and a lot of other styles of dance require.

Ballet is the foundation of many types of dance. To build up the correct, and lean muscles that (for example) contemporary makes use of, a ballet class or understanding would be a great start. However, taking a contemporary/modern/lyrical class in itself would satisfy that.

You can start hip hop at any age and still become an awesome dancer, as long as you have the perseverance and passion for dance. Same as contemporary, taking a hip hop class would satisfy any foundations of the hip hop style.

If you're worried that you can't be a great dancer, don't be. It's never too late restart, and even try new styles. =] I'm learning contemporary, ballet and a bit of hip hop, and I can safely tell you that to start taking classes in any of those styles, you'll enjoy yourself alot and, especially for ballet, it will help a lot when you try more styles.

If you watched the most recent season of So You Think You Can Dance, you'll know that the winner, Sabra had only been taking contemporary classes for two years. She is one huge success. It comes to show that it doesn't matter "when" you start dance, but that it's more about how much you want to do it.

Best of luck! I think you should go for it. :) And don't worry, I've only danced for around.. Two years. It's stacks of fun; definitely worth it.

YES U CAN
it does not matters that how old r u but the thing that matters is ur willing power.
u can start dancing and become even the best dancer of the world if u want to but remember that ur willpower should not break at any cost.
keep dancing

YUPP!!! JUST GOTTA WORK WORK WORK TAKE LOTS OF CLASSES GO TO EVERY OPEN GYM DANCE DAY U CAN FIND

of course! for some reason, there are people that say you need to start dancing when you're 2 if you want to be any good. i think thats total bs. it all depends on your effort. just work hard and if it's what you really want then you'll find a way to make it happen. never give up either. good luck too!
