There are different methods of ballet: Vaganoff, Checetti RAD

There are different styles of ballet: Neo Classical, Classical, Contemporary(usually en pointe)

There are different types of ballets: d'action(story ballets) or non-story ballets.

Most librarys have good books on ballet, most are old, dont let that scare u, there is great info! Also look into THE BALLET COMPANION book and abt.org has archives in their education site, plus gorgious pictures!

there are a couple of types of ballet, Vagonava, Balanchine, and Russian.

I recommend putting in a google or yahoo search on the history of ballet or just ballet.
