What color ballet shoes should I get?

Question:The question pretty much explains it. I'm starting ballet and I was wondering if I should get pink or black ballet flats. I also kinda wondered what everyone else wears. Thanx!

definitely pink - more feminine and pretty!. i always get either canvas or leather, unless i have an exam or a festival in which i have to wear satin, and if you choose satin shoes, make sure you calimine them! because shiny shoes do look really naff and they are distracting.
by the way, before you choose a colour, check whether where you're having the ballet classes have a uniform or dresscode, and you might not have a choice of colour.

usually it is pink for girls
black and white for boys

but for some performances, i use all different colors

I wear black as white get really dirty and i have never actually worn pink as i am male, but other girls in my class wear pink and they look nice for about a week but after a week or so theyy gett really dirtyy. o blackk look really nicee also.
But it does depend on what leatard you have to go with it,
But blac goes with everything.

I was in ballet for 18 years. I always wore pink canvas ballet shoes. They are so comfortable. I wore Sanshas. They are split sole too so they make your feet look pretty. The canvas shoes are much more comfortable than the leather shoes. They are less expensive than the leather shoes also.

pink black are for men no studio is going to let you wear black

pink are classic for girls.
if you're taking lessons at a non-classical studio, black or white are acceptable, but pink is your best bet

There are many colors. Go to the website below. They show you a ton of shoes. You're going to have to obviously get ballet slippers, so don't look at the Pointe Shoes. I would go with a pink or a pale pink. The colors don't mean anything. Black isn't for advanced pink isn't for beginners. It's the STYLE. Use sanshas, with a split sole.

Use pink, it's more 'official' and is more likely to be used in recitals.

You might want to check if your studio requires a certain color. I know at mine, we have to have pink ballet shoes. They're more versatile with different costumes. But who knows, your studio may want something different.

Does your ballet teacher require you to wear a certain color? If not, you should probably get black. My ballet teacher requires black ballet shoes for girls and boys. I have black leather ballet shoes and they are very nice. They are sturdy and don't get dirty easily. I also have white silk pointe shoes. They are nice too, but white shoes are more likely to get dirty-looking easily. However, if you dance on a clean floor, they shouldn't get very dirty. Mine are very clean even though I have had them for over a year and they have been worn a lot. I especially like my black ballet shoes. I would recommend some nice black ballet shoes! But you should just look at what's available and see what you like best!

Studios generally only allow girls to wear pink ballet slippers. Boys are the ones who wear black.

Usually boys wear black or white, and girls wear pink, it depends on the dance studio.

You should begin with black. Get 2 pairs, particularly if you plan to practice every day--if they get sweaty, they need to dry for a day before you wear them again.

She is a girl, she wears pink ballet shoes. Boys were black, please don't listen to the people that say black they probably don't even take dance.
