How do you use pointe snaps for pointe shoes?

Question:I just had a look at the website, and this is what it said:

'How To Use Pointe Snaps'

Assembly Instructions:

1.Place your ribbon/elastic where desired on your pointe shoe.

2.Carefully poke the prong through the outside of the shoe and the ribbon/elastic. (Don't place on a seam or a drawstring.)

3.Place the socket (red side up) on top of the prong and ribbon/elastic.

4.On a hard surface, carefully hammer the socket onto the prong (don't hit your fingers!) OR squeeze the prong and socket together with a pair of pliers.

5.Two Pointe Snaps? / ribbon and one /elastic are recommended for pointe shoes.

6.Pointe Snaps? can be easily applied to all ballet shoes.

Always wear safety eyewear and use adult supervision when applying Pointe Snaps?.

Pointe Snaps? will not come apart (without pliers) and cannot be reused, therefore, we recommend you first practice applying a couple of Pointe Snaps? to a retired pair of shoes before applying them to a new pair of shoes.

Immediately stop using Pointe Snaps? if they irritate you in any way. Persons with metal allergies shouldn't use Pointe Snaps?.

CAUTION: Pointe Snaps? are not toys! They contain small, pieces that present a choking hazard and should never be handled by children.
