~Lyrical: if going for a theatrical thing, pick something a cappella (spelling?) like from Phantom of the Opera, or try something like Bubbly (way overused but still good)

if you are doing broadway you should sing, "My new philosphy" from your a good man charlie brown. It allows you to have a lot of fun and personal style with it. There isn't really a set dance to it, but it is up beat and fun, you could always just make up your own jig. Or "popular" from wicked that is a fun song that is up beat and can have a good dance to it.

If is a poppy type song thing do a brittany spears song...she has some okay dances.

if it is a jazzy style you could always do something that is a bit slow just for learning/time sake.
