Heyyy!, I did it for about 7-8 years and then quit for 5, but now that Im 15 I am thinking about going back! =]

btw what level are you up to? I went to 3 diff schools b/c i moved. in my first school (4-5years there) i got up to novice and then i my second school (1 year there) i stayed in novice and then my 3rd school (2 years) they made me start all over again !!! =[ lol

i used to do it when i was 6 but got thrown out of the classes when I was 8..LOL

I've been dancing since I was about 5 years old off and on..but once I got more serious and started taking several types of dance consistantly I started Irish step dance. I've now been taking Irish for 6 years and I love it!! I actually teach some of the lower level classesat my studio. I'm in a really small town in Northern California, and yeah..few people here have heard about Irish dancing either!

Something thats really good about that though, is that if you have strong technical training behind your Irish dance, such as ballet, then if your looking for dance scholarships you will be noticed!! not many people take Irish and are good at it, its a unique talent!!

I dont take it anymore but i took it from age 6 until about age 11 or 12, then it became too much with all the other types of dance that i do, so i quit, but if i had time i might start up again.
