Any dance studios that will hire teens as instructors?

Question:I have been a dancer for quite a while now. I go to an arts school and i specialize in Hip Hop. I live in West Palm Beach Florida and I was wondering if anyone knew of any that hired teens as instructors.

my studio is the 3rd largest studio in the US and some of our students teach classes or are substitutes for the regular teachers. all of the teachers are in their early 20's, and some are 19. the students that teach, of course, teach young classes. one of the students that teaches is 17 but she teaches a 13-17 year old modern class. i believe she is the only student that teaches a class so close to her own age. i think it mostly depends on your experience. good luck finding a job!

Many offer positions for teens, as a teacher of a younger class. The studio I went to did it for students in their company, so as to lower tuition. So I suggest just asking around. Often they hire you based on experience over age.

I would assume most do. A family member of mine owns a dance studio and she hires alot of teens (usually her former students) Definitely call around or better yet pop by and drop of your resume and talk to the owners!!

Well I don't live in Florida but my dance studio hires anyone over 18 as teachers.

I don't live in Florida, but you can check the phone books and call different dance studios and ask. I've been to 2 different dance studios and they both let teens be instructers.
Also: If they don't let you become an instructor, you can always be a helper. At my dance studios, you can help out instructers some days. It's really fun, I've done it before.
