It seems more complicated than it really is. Have someone go over it with you extensively for the first time, and then work on it. Once you get the basic step down, you'll be able to add a lot of little quirks to it to make it different/unique/interesting. It helps to have a good partner. ;-)

The good news is that the basic lindy doesn't require extensive dance technique (like jumps, turns, leg extensions) so even with little/no dance experience, you should be able to pick it up with practice!

It's pretty easy, but everyone is different. Some people pick-up steps quickly, while others are uncoordinated.

Soooo, it kind of depends on you. Don't be afraid to give it a shot. Whatever you do, the emphasis should be on having fun.

Learning fast lindy will take some time but anyone can do it with lots of practice. But if you get a chance, learn some of it from the Grand Master of Lindy Hop himself: Frankie Manning.
First clip is Frankie in his youth. The second is him today - the man is over *90* and still going strong.
