Well, that picture has a very good arch, or at least a shoe that gives the impression of a good arch. Just really try to roll through to pointe. Do some exercises just going from tendu to demi pointe A LOT. Once you have strong enough ankles, use that same technique but after demi pointe, go up on the box. You could just be "knuckling" because you aren't over on the box enough. Good luck, and congrats on getting to pointe!

it might be the fit of the shoe. sometimes, if the box is too tall, your feet can kind of, i dont know, crinkle inside the shoe. the top of the box needs to rest right on the top of your foot. also, if the shoe is too wide for you the same thing can happen. maybe ask your teacher to check the fit of your shoe, and also ask her to tell you if they are too worn to be of use anymore. i might also suggest a shoe with a longer box, something that is going to help stabilize the front of your foot when en pointe, so you can have just a little extra support.
