Question:doing the splitz. i really want to do the splitz. i'm ALMOST THERE...but i just cant get there. i've been stretching every day for like 2 months . but i cant finish it. and i can do the side splits almost there...but in the middle i'm not even close. do you have any suggesttions? stretching doesnt seem to be working anymore!

To SVC and kk, she is most likely a dancer or gymnast, so she would be using splits to help(if a dancer) her arabasques, russans, ect. And(if a gymnast) ...basically everything. Please, have some mutirity(sp?), and try to help a little.
Back to splits...
I am in the same possition as you. Stretch a lot but not really getting anywhere. That's how it is with my bad leg, but with my good leg, i can go all the way down. All i can say that has helped me so far and that i hope helps you is to not get frustrated, relax, and make sure when you stretch you are wearing sweatpant and a sweatshirt or something else that makes you warm. If you are warm, you can go farther because your muscles become softer or more flexible or something. Good luck, i hope you get your splits too!

Maybe you should not be obsessed.

it takes time to perfect the splits...dont' worry, you're getting there! Just don't overdo your stretches or else you'll damage your muscles

Channel that energy into something more useful. Unless you're a stripper, then I guess the splits are useful.

depends what your age is.... there are lots of methods.

Just relax and stretch everyday, and also make sure your warming-up first because the stretches work better.
Also you should tke a warm bath before stretching. Dont stress and obsess, because some people cant flat out do middle splits, i can litterly feel my hips grind when i get to a certant point. Dont give up though, you will get it!

Put your front leg on a stir and slide into your split, hold for 30 seconds, really works!!!!!!!

i would keep stretching and maybe look up some different types of stretches too :-)
