Position:Home>Dancing> Will having tattoos affect my chances of cheerleading?

Question:I would like to audition for a nfl cheerleadings squad in my city. I have some dance experience, but have never been a cheerleader. I have 6 tatts. One on each arm at the top, one on each ankle, and one in the middle of my back & one on my lower back. These are usually covered up, but with the summertime tank tops and shorts ud see them. Is it just a waste of time to try out ? Be honest, real cheerleaders & dancers respond pls thanks

try SmartCover...some of the Buffalo Jills have tattoos and use it to cover them up

Ive been cheerleading all my life and I remember when I was in senior year of high school, they didnt let this girl with a tatto on her arm in the squad, but that was high school and im not sure if is the same in NFL and in dance im not sure either.

Really just depends...If it comes down to you and another girl to get into the squad they just may pick the other girl because of your tats. But you should still try your very best and audition!

Try to cover them up as well as you can for the audition. Wear longer socks to cover them and a long enough top that when you bend over you can't see the one on your lower back.

Try some foundation over it as well, a lot of dancers do that for strech marks.

Good Luck for that audition!

There's a product called Covermark, which was designed years ago to camouflage birthmarks and works just as well on other marks, like bruises. It should also cover tattoos,

of course. maybe instead of cheer leading you should get a job in a pet shop.

I'd check out cheerleaders on TV....I've seen very few if any tatts on them....I really think you would be wasting your time.

Use make up to cover it up. My friend's friend had 2 tats, one in her leg the other on her arm. She got accepted into the squad for all 4 yrs, graduated and now that our 5yr reunion is comin up she'll tell everyone she always had those tats. I wonder if they'll be shocked?
