The experts were probably refering to "pointe" ballet, where you stand on the tips of your toes -- if you do that before your ankles have fully formed, you can mess them up forever.

You don't need to be flat to dance... you just need a really good brassiere. A knowledgeable costume lady is always a plus as well.

Also, I know 40- or 50-something dancers who are in fabulous shape and are really good at it. I doubt they will stop just because they reach a certain age. Ain't no "too old" until you're dead :D

30

yes, of coarse! ur never too old!

sure, it's never too late to start a new hobby. why not?

yeah 30 is too old

Anyone can start at any age!
Even Really old people start. =]

I quote from somewhere on the internet: "Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional!"

your never too old ;)

its never too late
and ur mom is wrong i started ballet when was two and im a great dancer in my opinion and others

Its never to late to teach an old dog new tricks ;)

Of course she can take up ballet! As far being developed, this could possible keep her from making it into a major ballet company. Ballet companies often look for slender, curvless women. There are companies out there accepting all different kinds of people. Ballet is a beautiful art that is becoming more welcome to all shapes and kinds or people.

You are never too old! Tell her to go for it!

Good luck!

you're never too old i started when i was 17 :-)
