Question:What exactly do you consider a mildly disabled person. If a person has a physical disability but is fine mentally, then I would treat them exactly like I would any other person.

If a person has some kind of disability like down syndrome, I will usually treat them like I would a younger child - modifying this based on how high functioning they are.

If a person has a physical disability that makes it difficult for them to communicate then I will try to find a way to communicate with them - whether that means talking face to face rather than on the phone, going to get pen and paper so they can write, using gestures and/or signs, or something else.

I fully recognize that people with disabilities are just like everyone else and I try my best to treat them that way. But I also recognize that sometimes I must make some special considerations to accommodate their disability.

I treat all disabled people like people.

P.S. My wife and son are disabled.
I personally don't care what ability, or disability anyone has, they're still people.
I treat them like normal people... but I do help out if they have trouble doing something...
I treat them like people.
What exactly is the point in this thread?

They Are people regardless of the diability they have.... u just praise people who have ability to do better things than you, why? becoz its not easy, takes time to perfect, and is a feat in all things normal.

But if thread is to catch people who have a problem with disabled people...... not a good place to put it. people are entitled to their opinions regarless of yours.
Not Tryin to come across as an *** on this but ye hopefully u catch wat im at.
I would treat them with respect, and depending on the nature of their disability I might treat them differently to achieve an equal outcome or opportunity.

For example if someone had problems with hearing then I would attempt to speak more clearly and not cover my mouth.

Equal opportunities does not mean treating everyone the same.
Probably.

I try to treat them like anyone else, but in making an effort to do so, I guess I give them slightly special treatment.
