well it all depends. normally, a person like you would have to work EXTREMELY hard to get in because you don't have much direct experience with in cheerleading or dance. however, if you're at a college with a fairly new dance team or a very small performing arts program in general, you may have a chance if you work that hard. personally, i'm a dancer who dancers 13 hours a week and i know people that dance more than me who didn't make the college dance teams at their colleges. so there's something to think about.. but who knows? i wouldn't try cheerleading because it's mostly strength and you need to train for a loooooooooooooong time. you can try the dance team, but i wouldn't get your hopes up too high. sorry.
i hope this helps, and if you have any more questions feel free to let me know.

and if you do try, remember confidence is key! even if you don't know what you're doing, make sure you look like you do, you keep smiling, and you do absolutely everything full out and to the best of your ability. i'm always told that they won't know the little fumbles in the feet if they're always looking at your face. make sure your expression is what they look at the most in the audition!
well all they can do is tell u no...and its worth a shot......u never know if u dont try!!
well it depends on the shcool and how big your schools dance and cheer team is.. if it is not full then it will be easy they probably take ne one... but you can try out for dance team with very little dance skills... just make up a 10 sec dance for them... and they will be like alright you can dance. cheerleading is harder becasue they may ask you to so some moves and you may not know how to do them... but i meen its worth a shot eatither way.
It really depends on gow prestigious the team is. If you are flexibile that is definitely a huge plus because your extensions will look great. Also teams love a girl that can tumble and for a dance team a back handspring is really good. Make sure you show a lot of enhusiasm at the audition(so I urge you to try) and check as many local dance studios to see if you can get into a technique class for jazz or even ballet. Try learning as much choreography as you can before the audition so you can get back your body placement awarenss and your movements will not look akward. Always smile and do cute facials, show confidence, keep your chin up and have fun(it shows.) The worst that can happen is they could say no but do not dwell on that. Good Luck!!!
