Question:

Is it true ballerina's do not get regular periods & have premature bone disease?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Some ballerinas do not develop a menstural flow, or amenorrhea, due to their low body weight. Any woman who is exceptionally slender may fail to menstrate. Most anorexic women don't.

The bone disease issue can come from poor nutrional habits. Ballerinas tend to be long and very slender, so they can be lifted by the men, and so they can do that "on the toes" dancing.
