Question:

What are the best pointe shoes to start with?

I am going on pointe this spring and am a little thaken aback by all the diffrent brands and types of pointe shoes avalible. What is the best choice for a 130 pound dancer new to pointe?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: well capezios are ok i guess, they are incredibly soft and die really quickly. they arent the cheapest shoes. i absolutly LOVE my grishkos, love them, love them, love them!!!!!!!!!! freeds are more for people who have been dancing for a while and have narrow feet. chaccot are comfortable, but the shank is really soft. bloch shoes buckle over in the arch and they are pretty similar to capezios. sansha is a nice stage shoe because it is really quiet. gaynor mindins last a really long time but they are partly made of plastic and are expensive.

hope i helped you
good luck!! : )
